Road Trip Time

Rangers – 4

Athletics – 5

The Rangers fought back from a 4-0 deficit only to lose in the 9th inning. All in all, it was a great series against the Athletics for the Rangers, and I really don’t expect that they will win every game left this season. The Rangers are now 30-20, still the best in the AL.

Up next they have a really big road trip. 3 in NY and 3 in Boston. Over the past few years, they have done better against the Yankees in NY than they have in Texas, so that should bode well for them, but they don’t normally do well in Boston. The Red Sox are playing good ball right now, but so are the Rangers. All in all, it is really just another 6 game road trip, but it is always fun to act like a trip like this means more.

TEX Vicente Padilla, RHP (3-2, 4.71) vs. NYY A.J. Burnett, RHP (3-2, 4.78)

Burnett pitched well in his last outing against the Rangers, hopefully that won’t happen again in NY.

Actually, The Rangers have a better ERA (4.46 to the Yankees 4.88) and have hit more homeruns. They are both pretty much first or second in every offensive stat. The Rangers have faired better in NY then in Texas against the Yankees, and your Yankees new ballpark is a homerun factory. I think we are going to see 3 high scoring games, and the Rangers will win two of them!!
